Both of Tom's grandfathers and his father were policemen. He spent much of his early childhood and adolescence listening to police officers tell the little known stories of Chicago's past. However, Tom did not follow the family's career traditions. At present, Tom is teaching high school speech and drama. He has also served as an entertainment director on cruise ships during the summer months. Tom and his wife Mary Beth live in Chicago's newly revived West Loop district.
Despite a degree in foreign language. Mike chose jazz as a career. As a studio musician, Mike's jazz guitar is much in demand. He has played all of Chicago's major venues and has a behind the scenes perspective on every neighborhood where Chicago jazz has ever echoed. When he is not playing professionally, he teaches both guitar and piano. Mike resides in Chicago's eclectic music scene neighborhood, Wicker Park.
Patricia is currently teaching high school social studies and dedicating her summer months to WCT. Patricia's master's degree thesis was entitled. "Post Civil War Immigration to the Industrial North". She has a virtual encyclopedic recall on Chicago's ethnic neighborhoods. Patricia and her family of four live in their newly finished University Village townhome.
Deborah owns her own photography business. In addition to weddings and other special events, she is a freelance photographer with regular contributions to art galleries and local magazines. Recently, she copyrighted her own line of Chicago postcards. Her photographic explorations have taken her to every Chicago neighborhood. Deborah and her husband Nate reside in Lincoln Park.
Jennifer is a part-time actress in local Chicago theater. She has also appeared in local and national commercials. When not performing, Jennifer teaches drama at a children's private grade school. She is also a founding partner in "Business Accents" a consulting firm that does in-service training in public speaking and communications for corporate clients. Jennifer resides in Chicago's South Loop district.
Jeffrey is a flight attendant with 14 years experience with an international passenger carrier. His flexible schedule has allowed him to pursue his lifelong interest, Chicago history. There is not a European capital that Jeffrey has been to where he doesn't wind up telling the stories that make Chicago an international destination. A virtual Chicago ambassador almost every working day and a genuine polyglot(Jeffrey can "get by" in several languages), he resides in historic Old Town.
A retired community college history teacher, David now manages his own genealogy research service. David has published several articles on family genealogy research methods. He is a dynamic narrative style tour guide with an impressive memory for the facts concerning the families who founded several of Chicago's ethnic neighborhoods. David lives with his wife Ann on Chicago's north side. |
